Emrail is proud to have completed a major track work subcontract for a contract value of RM750 million for the Electrified Double Track Project between Rawang and Ipoh (“EDTP I”). This project was handed over to Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) and the track commenced operations by end of 2008.

With a number of new railway projects planned and earmarked for implementation under the Tenth Malaysia Plan by the Government of Malaysia, the years ahead will provide new challenges and growth opportunities for Emrail.

In order to be strategically positioned and to ensure the company’s continued dominance in the local railway industry, we had invested and put in place all the necessary manpower, capital equipment and quality assurance management in enhancing our competitiveness and efficiency.

To further enhance our position as the leader in the niche market, we have a strategic alliance with our technical partner Ansaldo (M) Sdn Bhd for railway signaling to enhance our capabilities in offering total turnkey system and solution to our clients besides keeping abreast with the latest technological advancement and innovations.

This strategic alliance has not only provided us a means to strengthen our core expertise in related specialized fields but serve as a platform for us to project ourselves to new markets in neighbouring countries. The year 2009 marked the 38th anniversary of the inception of Emrail and with its wealth of experience and proven track record, is ready for dynamic growth opportunities in the future.

With the continuation of the northern double track project, MMC-Gamuda JV had awarded Emrail the track works sub-contract for the Electrified Double Tracking Project between Ipoh and Padang Besar (“EDTP II”). This is testimony of our strength and commitment to materialize Malaysia’s aspirations to put in place the railway network connectivity and continuous growth in the region.

The management of Emrail will persistently build on its success to grow the business and continue in its endeavour to serve its varied clients with the emphasis on customer satisfaction. We will continue to capitalize and support our Government’s vision to develop and modernize the railway infrastructure network not only in Malaysia but in the region.
